Mad About Sucre Cafe Singapore

When you think your friends are crazy, you say to them: "Are you guys mad?!"

When you fall deeply in love with someone, you would say to that person: "I am madly in love with you."

And when you want one of the best chocolate mousse combination, you go Mad About Sucre.

The moment you step into this cafe, you would be greeted by a giant cake display, something which you could only see during weddings. The interior is so royally decorated I half-expected the royal queen to come out and welcome me.

Okay, we weren't greeted by her but instead, the glass display full of exquisite looking pastries! Just as we were looking at them, we were told that ALL their pastries are sold out, except for ONE LAST SAN DOMINGUE, which was exactly what we came for!

"OKAY PLEASE GET ME THAT LAST PIECE" said the kanjiong Evilbean.

LOOK. LOOK at that pretty layers of mess inside the chocolate ball! Made with mousse made from 70% single origin chocolate, Rum Jewel box, Caramelised Plantain Vanilla Cream and Brittany Crunch, this is a pastry to-die-for! That biscuit below is wonderfully crisp, which adds a crunchy texture to the smooth chocolate mousse, while the banana, vanilla cream, and other secret layers that went into the core leaves their flavour on your chocolate-coated-tongue, ending with a light berry taste. If heaven serves dessert, San Domingue is one of them. 

Their service is top-notch, with the owners of the cafe explaining every dish in detail and constantly refilling your teacup so you can constantly sip tea like a "tai-tai". They are almost like the Angels in heaven - always smiling, always taking care of you. The cafe just needs to release dry ice and the whole heavenly atmosphere would be complete.

Yes, I would definitely be back to this paradise for more of their pastries! MORE, I WANT MORE!
