Kurobuta Ramen at Chabuton Singapore

If Ramen was a human, he would triumph over Casanova as the legendary lover.

"Why is that so, Evilbean?"

"Because no one can say 'No' to a Ramen"

I had the honour to try a very exquisite and premium Ramen that has quite an impressive back-story. The Kurobuta - the master creation by Chef Yasuji Morizumi.

Not only does he look badass, he is also the first-ever Ramen chef to receive a Michelin star, and was also crowned the "Best Ramen Chef" by TV Champion (a culinary contest in Japan).

What is brilliant about this Ramen is that the soup broth is actually 2 layers! The first layer is chicken collagen, while the second layer is the tonkotsu. The way to eat this is to actually scoop the top layer of chicken collagen broth first, in order for your tastebuds to enjoy and distinguish the doubled-tiered soup base.

And the pork. Oh my god the pork. Exclusively available at Chabuton Singapore, Kurobuta pork, which is billed as the most highly prized pork in Japan and stands at the same level as the Kobe beef, is one of the star of this creation. The small, fine streaks of fat that make each slice so richly sweet and tender melts in your mouth; the perfect chemistry between the pork and your tongue so sizzling fast you crave for more!

If you like ginger tea like me, you would love the taste of this dish! The Kurobuta Ramen has a very strong ginger taste that refreshes your palette with their unique spiciness, and offers the same amount of comfort a ginger tea brings on a cold, rainy day.

There is no need to mention the numerous beauty benefits of collagen. Coupled with other ingredients like bamboo shoot, Japanese leek and soft-boiled egg, this bowl of comforting Ramen is one delightful dish that not only satisfy your stomach but also makes you prettier with the collagen. There is no time to waste, the Kurobuta Ramen is a special, limited edition offering that will end on 31 March 2015, so hurry up and head down to the 3 Chabuton outlets (listed below) and enjoy your bowl of happiness!

I also held a giveaway on Instagram just 2 weeks ago and 5 lucky followers walked away with bowl vouchers for this premium bowl of Kurobuta Ramen!

Congrats again to all five of you! I am sure all of you will enjoy the Ramen!
